SG Hiscock & Company appoints Robert Hogg as Group Chief Investment Officer and Head of SGH Individual Portfolios

SG Hiscock & Company has experienced a considerable period of growth over the last 12 months and has appointed Robert Hogg as Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head of Individual Portfolios, SG Hiscock & Company after a substantial market search. Mr Hogg will be based in Melbourne and will report to CEO, Giles Croker. He will commence with the firm on 28 February and will be based in the Melbourne office.

Mr Hogg will take over the role of group CIO from Stephen Hiscock. Mr Hiscock will continue as Executive Chairman of SG Hiscock Group.

Mr Hogg joins SG Hiscock & Company from UniSuper where he worked for over 7 years, most recently as Head of Fixed Interest and Macro Research, and prior to that as Head of Global Equity Strategies and Quant Methods. His role prior to this was with Frontier Advisors for 8 years as a Senior Consultant and Head of Capital Markets and Asset Allocation. He has also held economic and investment management roles with Commonwealth Investment Management and Colonial First State Asset Management since 1991.

Chairman of SG Hiscock & Company, Stephen Hiscock, said Mr Hogg brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the investment team.
